The space welcomes all those who are interested in exploring the meaning of education beyond ‘formal schooling’. Currently we have a group of 24 children and 5-6 adults all interested in creating and helping each other discover their own learning pattern. The youngest, amongst children we have, is 4 years old and the oldest is 18 years old. These children come to the center and design their curriculum and time-table together with a group of adults who too are busy exploring questions that interests them.
Currently we run the space from 9 AM till 3:30 PM, from Monday till Friday.
At the age of 13 or 14, most decide to take the 10th class exam through open schooling exam (NIOS). NIOS offers many subjects like – Sciences, Mathematics, Languages, Painting, Computers, Business Studies, Social Sciences, Psychology etc. Children choose 5 subjects of their own interests and start preparing at the pace that suits them. Some of them move on to different spaces while some choose to stay back and take their senior secondary exams with us.
The Center remains closed on Saturdays and Sundays
